Vivo appears to be moving closer to the launch of its next V-series smartphone, the Vivo V70. After introducing the Vivo V60 earlier this year with a large battery and advanced camera setup, the brand is now gearing up for its successor. Ahead of any official announcement, the upcoming handset has reportedly been spotted in the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database, offering early insight into its hardware configuration.

FCC Certification Confirms Storage Variant
According to certification documents listed on the FCC website, a Vivo smartphone carrying the model number V2538 has received regulatory approval in the United States. This model is widely believed to correspond to the Vivo V70. The FCC ID linked to the device is 2AUCYV2538, and the documentation includes internal testing details for an unreleased Vivo phone.
The listing suggests that the Vivo V70 will be offered in a configuration featuring 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB of internal storage, indicating a focus on performance and multitasking.
Connectivity and Software Details Surface
The FCC data further reveals that the Vivo V70 will support modern connectivity standards, including 5G networks, Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6. On the software side, the smartphone is expected to run Android 16, likely with Vivo’s OriginOS 6 custom interface layered on top.
Multiple Certifications Hint at Imminent Launch
In addition to the FCC appearance, the same model number has recently been detected on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, suggesting that the device is also cleared for the Indian market. The phone has also surfaced on Geekbench, where it reportedly runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor.
Benchmark results indicate the device achieved approximately 1,235 points in single-core performance and 3,920 points in multi-core testing, confirming a capable mid-premium chipset. The Geekbench listing also mentioned an 8GB RAM variant, hinting that multiple memory options could be available at launch.
Expected Improvements Over Vivo V60
The Vivo V70 is expected to build upon the foundation laid by the Vivo V60, which debuted in India in August at a starting price of ₹36,999. The V60 features a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset with storage options reaching up to 512GB.
While Vivo has not officially confirmed the launch timeline for the V70, its growing presence across certification platforms strongly suggests that the official unveiling may take place in the near future.
